N°01 What is a public adjuster?

A public adjuster is licensed to represent you—the policyholder—not the insurance company. We inspect and document damage, prepare your claim, and negotiate with your carrier so you are not handling a complex process alone.

N°02 How is that different from my insurance company’s adjuster?

The adjuster assigned by your insurer works for the carrier. Their job is to evaluate the loss under the policy on the company’s behalf. A public adjuster works only for you, with the same technical tools, but toward a complete and fair settlement.

N°03 How much does it cost to hire FPG?

We start with a free property inspection and consultation. If you hire us, our fee is typically contingency-based—a percentage of the settlement, disclosed in writing up front per Oklahoma rules. You do not pay an hourly bill for claim preparation.

N°04 Should I file a claim before I call you?

You can call us first. Many clients do. We help you understand whether a claim makes sense, what to document, and how to notify your insurer. If you already filed, we can still step in—especially if the offer feels low or the claim stalls.

N°05 What if my claim was denied or I feel underpaid?

That is one of the most common reasons people hire a public adjuster. We review the denial or payment, identify missing documentation or scope, and pursue reopening, supplements, or dispute resolution as your policy and Oklahoma law allow.

N°06 Do I need a contractor before hiring a public adjuster?

No. We document damage with HAAG-trained inspectors and industry-standard estimating. Contractors can repair after scope is agreed; involving us early often prevents gaps between what you see on the roof and what ends up in the claim file.

N°07 How long does a property insurance claim take?

Timelines vary by damage, carrier workload, and whether supplements or disputes arise. A straightforward hail claim may resolve in weeks; complex losses can take months. We keep you informed at each phase and push stalled files forward.

N°08 Will hiring a public adjuster raise my premium?

Premiums are set by many factors—location, coverage, claims history in your area, and insurer pricing—not simply “you hired help.” Filing a legitimate storm or casualty claim is what insurers price for. We can discuss your situation honestly during the free consultation.

N°09 Can you help if I already started the claim on my own?

Yes. Policyholders often call us mid-claim when estimates do not match the damage, the carrier requests more proof, or payments are delayed. We can take over documentation and negotiation while you stay informed.

N°10 When do I need a public adjuster versus an attorney?

Public adjusters handle claim preparation, evidence, and settlement negotiation under your policy. Attorneys are appropriate for coverage disputes, bad-faith litigation, or legal questions. We focus on the technical claim; we will tell you if counsel is the better next step.

N°11 What types of damage do you handle?

Hail, wind, tornado and storm damage, water intrusion, fire, and related property losses for homes and businesses across Oklahoma.

N°12 What areas do you serve?

We serve Norman, Noble, Cleveland County, and homeowners and businesses throughout Oklahoma. Call (555) 123-4567 to confirm coverage for your address.

N°13 Are you licensed in Oklahoma?

Yes. Our adjusters are licensed in Oklahoma. You can verify any public adjuster license through the Oklahoma Insurance Department licensee lookup.

N°14 When should I call you?

As soon as you notice damage—or if your claim was underpaid or denied. Documenting losses early helps protect your rights under the policy.
